Hello, I'm Ida Sofie.
I'm a 26 year old Norwegian-American, who has studied four years for my Masters in Design at Oslo School of Architecture and Design. In this process I have studied product design, interaction design, and service design. Currently I am one a one year permission, travelling through Asia and working remotely as a design consultant for various start-ups at Klein Group and as the sole designer at Woolit. In Fall 2023, I will be finishing my final year at AHO and writing my diploma project. (Psst, I am open for collaborations on my masters project. Feel free to get in touch!)
Both during and before AHO, life has been quite interesting. I moved to the States when I was nine years old. First I lived in Sarasota, Florida for ten years and then Austin, Texas for two years. In between this I lived in Alicante, Spain for 1 year and then travelled through India and Nepal for 4 months. (Thanks for bearing with me!) There's so many things I'd like to share about these experiences, but to keep it short — it's given me an appreciation and fascination for humans, the cultures we create, and the way we organise our own complexity. Mixed with a love for solving puzzles and creating, the design field felt like the natural culmination of all these experiences and interests. There's never been one day where I've doubted this decision.
