Dune

We were given the freedom to design the outdoor furniture of our choice.
I asked myself, can I create a chair which promotes a sense of intimacy between both people and nature?
Both the organic, sand-dune inspired form of the chair and it's proximity to the ground promotes a sense of grounding and nearness to nature.
Between 3-4 people can comfortable sit and lay on Dune.
Dune encourages physical closeness in order to create a more relaxed environment and more intimate connections.
Dune is made from water-resistant, stretchy polyester wrapped around a steel frame. The legs of the chair are water-resistant white oak.
Process.
Upon further development, this would have to be user tested in actual size with accurate materials.
