This food tray was designed as a potential food tray for Centropa, the new restaurant being built in the Deichman Library
My main intention was to create an eating experience inspired by the restaurants library setting.
Centropa was looking for an expression that integrated kitsch with Scandinavian, modern design.
Shades of green with a splash of pink for a feeling of freshness and fun.
Underneath the salad/soup bowl rests a secret poem (or maybe even a dessert menu?)
The more is eaten, the more is revealed of the surprise underneath.
In restaurants it's important that trays can be effectively stacked and washed.
Slide solves this problem through its modular form.
